Robin Treto

Trial Attorney

Helping people go on in loss — with a sense of dignity and knowing that their story was heard.

This is how I think about the heart of my work. From a young age, I felt a strong connection to people who suffer loss. Many variables and paths converged to lead me to the practice of injury law. But the common thread was a desire to help people get back on track after the most unexpected and difficult circumstances. My mission as a lawyer is to help those who have been injured obtain the resources they need to go on—to heal, to make the best of their circumstances, and to discover again what’s possible for their lives.

I’m a Florida native. My parents left their home country of Cuba to find freedom and opportunity in this country. Their example of courage, optimism, hard work, and resilience remains with me every day. I attended the University of Florida, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Economics. From there, I attended Emory University School of Law on scholarship. It was during my time at Emory that I first discovered the power of civil trials. I was going to practice business law. But an internship at a trial law firm and mock trials changed the trajectory of my legal career. For the first time, I saw how the unique story-telling aspects of trial law can help people in a deep and meaningful way. This work resonated with who I always wanted to be.

My continuing goal is to advocate for people who are wrongly hurt with the help of our American civil justice system, and working with advocacy groups like the American Association for Justice, the Birth Trauma Litigation Group, the Florida Justice Association, and the Central Florida Trial Lawyer’s Association. Over the years, I have worked with hundreds of clients in different ways. Sometimes it’s just helping them find answers to questions after loss. Whenever possible, I help them get fair compensation for their injuries or loss. I have journeyed with these clients from their lows following injury or loss all the way through jury verdicts. Whatever your legal journey requires–whether its just answers, a settlement, or a jury trial–my promise to you is that we will do this your way and together.

I look forward to working with you.
